Description

First thing's first: this yarn is super special. It's the only certified-organic sock yarn I could find that does NOT contain synthetic fibers (like nylon).

This yarn is heathered - they combine natural, grey, and black wools, overdye it for some of the colors, and some shades have two colors twisted together for a fun marl.

Everything about Snowdonia Sock is deliberate: the fiber is chosen for its strong, smooth characteristics, the twist has been carefully measured to keep the gorgeous integrity of these two breeds while achieving the necessary long-lasting ruggedness of a good, honest sock yarn.

Garthenor is one of my favorite recent discoveries. They are so thoughtful and creative in all of the yarns they make.

I hand wash this yarn in cold water and lay flat to dry. I haven't tried machine-washing it yet. If you get gutsy and try it, let me know how it goes!
